Locate the engine oil indicator knob or dipstick on engine of your bike or motorcycle.
Rotate the dipstick knob initially with plier and then with hand in anti-clock wise direction.
Remove the dipstick from your bike or motorcycle engine.
The maximum level oil is near the circle as shown by finger in the image and minimum level is below first zig zag line from the tip.
Put your bike on main stand and insert the dipstick to measure the oil level and condition. Insert the dipstick back in the engine oil filler hole and and slowly tighten the dipstick. Once its tighten, loosen the dipstick and take out dipstick to measure the oil level and condition.
If the oil is is in good condition and lower than minimum level, then top-up the engine oil till the oil level reaches maximum limit. If the oil is thin or less viscous and in blackish color, it is recommended to change the engine oil. Find engine drain nut underneath the engine.
Place a container to collect used oil beneath the drain nut and loosen the drain nut slowly by rotating in anti-clock wise direction
Wait till complete oil gets drain from the engine
Meanwhile also perform the inspection of drain nut and washer. If the condition of washer or nut is not good, there will be a chance of getting oil leak from the drain hole of bike or motorcycle
Once the complete oil get drain, put the drain nut back and tighten it very hard without damaging threads of nuts to avoid any oil leak
Clean the drain nuts using cloth to inspect any oil leakage later on.
Get ready to top-up or refill the engine oil. (please use manufacturer recommended oil for your bike or motorcycle)
With the help of funnel top-up the engine oil based on your vehicle requirement.
Once you poured required quantity of oil, letís cover the lid of the engine oil with plier and check for any leakage at the drain hole
